About
Rich Thorpe
Coaching & Counselling Psychologist
I am originally from the North of England, but have been resident in Australia since I arrived as a backpacker (with hair) in 1990. I have lived and worked mainly in Sydney, and for the past 10 years in Lake Macquarie & Newcastle.
I’m a registered Psychologist, clinical hypnotherapist & neuropsychotherapist, certified fitness trainer & yoga teacher, and of course the owner of No Worries Psychology.
Prior to my career in Psychology, I worked as an Electrical Engineer in the fields of building automation and e-commerce.
In addition to therapy and coaching I love teaching, and I’m currently an Associate Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Newcastle. Also designed and deliver the Accidental Counselling workshop at the University of Newcastle, which was recognised through recieving the Vice Chancellors Award in 2018.
Outside of work I really enjoy spending time in my garden growing vegetables, riding my e-bike, playing tennis, and catching up with friends.
